(What would a church April Fools\u2019 Day prank look like? Perhaps that is the exact question that should be shaping all of our theologies.) Onwards to what\u2019s happening for real this month\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/v2\/resize:fit:875\/0*FUikIfylDQCyR414\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This is the photo that came up when I searched \u201cprank.\u201d That&nbsp;<strong><em>could<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;be the church prank \u2014 everyone puts their shoes in the front foyer and then we get the Sunday School kids to throw them over the telephone wires\u2026Photo by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/@leekos?utm_source=medium&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kostiantyn Li<\/a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/?utm_source=medium&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Unsplash<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"3dcc\">All events, as per usual, take place at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/PufyE1tJhwMM4azg7\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mount Carmel Bible College<\/a>&nbsp;starting at 11am (unless they don\u2019t):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sunday, April 2:\u00a0<\/strong>April 2 is Palm Sunday and, not at all coincidentally, Erin will be speaking all about Palm Sunday! Join us at 11am. There will be Sunday School available for kids Grade 6 and under.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, April 9:\u00a0<\/strong>April 9 is the BIG DAY \u2014 Easter Sunday!! So important for Christians everywhere, and Peace is no different. In fact, it\u2019s an awesome reminder that, even though the church is spread out across the world, the event we celebrate on Easter is something we hold in common.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, April 16:<\/strong>\u00a0We\u2019ll be going on a walk out in nature this week! Jay will be sending out an email about where to meet and the plans for afterwards \u2014 which I\u2019m told may include\u00a0<em>hot dogs.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, April 23:\u00a0<\/strong>We\u2019re going to be trying something different on April 23. Instead of listening to a talk during the service, we\u2019re sending out the talk ahead of time for people to listen to at their leisure prior the service. We\u2019ll then plan to\u00a0<em>talk<\/em>\u00a0about it on the Sunday as a group. (This is like the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FFlipped_classroom&amp;sa=D&amp;usd=2&amp;usg=AOvVaw2RO7UPwj1F1_5yKCPTAUYl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flipped classroom<\/a>\u201d teaching technique). It\u2019s actually two talks by an American guy living in Australia named\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fshanewillardministries.org%2Fabout%2F&amp;sa=D&amp;usd=2&amp;usg=AOvVaw1jKcudPpZdjrzDkcmzasQn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shane Willard<\/a>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2F3xWmoeNOdvU&amp;sa=D&amp;usd=2&amp;usg=AOvVaw27iEkD2nwB5FzBqdYhEnTm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How to Read the Bible Part 1<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FtukzFb2uTqI&amp;sa=D&amp;usd=2&amp;usg=AOvVaw3tTXRdKwI0yqIt02bYJ0Nz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How to Read the Bible Part 2<\/a>. You can watch\/listen to it anytime before April 23. More details on this in the weeks to come. (Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have a chance to listen to the talk \u2014 you should still come!
