Lewis, John F. Kennedy, and Aldous Huxley (a date immortalized in Peter Kreeft\u2019s dialogue,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/64276.Between_Heaven_Hell\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Between Heaven and Hell<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"22f6\">What new anniversaries might this year hold? (Other than the&nbsp;<em>Dune<\/em>&nbsp;sequel, of course). Enjoy some extra zzz\u2019s (or, like, early morning tobogganing or skating or something with the family).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, January 8 (11am\u20131pm):\u00a0<\/strong>This week we\u2019ll be doing\u00a0<em>lectio divina<\/em>, which is an ancient Christian practice for contemplating scripture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, January 15 (11am-1pm):\u00a0<\/strong>This Sunday, we\u2019re going to be watching some short clips from some recent movies that stray into spiritually interesting areas, and then we\u2019ll talk about them together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, January 22 (11am-1pm):\u00a0<\/strong>This week we will be meeting at Mount Carmel at 11am as usual, with a plan to worship together, take communion, and hopefully have some extra time to have coffee and snacks. Kids will be in the service with us this week, but there will be a play area set up for any kids who wants to worship that way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, January 29:\u00a0<\/strong>This week is a fifth Sunday, so it is a Sabbatical Sunday and that means\u00a0<strong><em>NO CHURCH<\/em><\/strong>. That being said, anyone who is interested is welcome to join the Kings for brunch at their place!
