This is an era of broken links, half-updated websites, and rolling a new church name around in your mouth to see what it feels like. Is it Peace<\/em> Christian Community? Peace Christian <\/em>Community? Or is the emphasis somewhere else entirely? Do we say \u201cPCC\u201d when we\u2019re abbreviating? Or maybe \u201cPeace Christian\u201d? Or maybe we just say \u201cOld Pax\u201d \u2014 that\u2019s my favourite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, as you\u2019ll have gathered, our little community meeting in east Edmonton has chosen a new name for itself, and we\u2019re thinking this one will stick: Peace Christian Community. (Although, of course, we\u2019re still a Jesus community too!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We kick off the month as usual with singing together and communion. We\u2019ll be meeting at Mount Carmel Bible College<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Borrow Sunday<\/a> this month is going to focus on a Christian practice that isn\u2019t typically associated with \u201cdevotion,\u201d but which has been a great help for many Christians in their walk with God. We\u2019re going to be learning and talking a little bit about apologetics! What\u2019s it all about? Does it require that you apologize \u2014 or maybe that word is unrelated! How has it been helpful for people? What might be some of it limitations?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be happening at Mount Carmel Bible College<\/a>. If you are interested in joining via Zoom, send an email to info@ajesuscommunity.ca<\/a>. (I know, I know: it\u2019s the old URL. We don\u2019t have a new one yet.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event Sunday<\/a> this month is going to be a service event. We are still ironing out some of the details about who, what, and why, but plan to join us at Mount Carmel Bible College<\/a> at 11am. We\u2019ll update this space in the next week or so with more details. Likely there will be no Zoom available this week, but we\u2019ll confirm that once plans are firmed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
