What’s Happening in June 2022

I’m doing better this month around and posting on the Ides of June (not a thing, I don’t think)! I’m going to congratulate myself by including a photo that is only tangentially related to this month.

We will have a retreat this month; it is not happening where this photo was taken. The jury is still out on whether our retreat counts as “glamping”. (Photo by Tim Peterson on Unsplash)

June 5, 2022 @ 11am

This Sunday, church is cancelled as several of us are going to be away in Calgary for the Thinking Shrewdly Regional Conference put on by Vision Ministries Canada.

June 12, 2022 @ 11am

Our focus this week is on the bigger mission of God and to help us to think about that, we’re going to be hearing about what God is doing through two ministries.

Joy will be sharing about the background and focus of the International Christian School Nonthaburi, which is a K-12 school located in Thailand.

Nils will be sharing about the discipleship work that is happening at Mount Carmel Bible College. Nils is President at Mount Carmel.

There will be opportunity to ask questions and hopefully get a bit of a glimpse into how God is at work both here in Edmonton and in Thailand. As usual, we’ll be meeting at Mount Carmel. If anyone would like to join via Zoom, please let Jeff know.

June 18–19, 2022 | Church Retreat

This weekend is our first ever church retreat. We’ll be meeting at Meadowlodge Bible Camp at 10:30am on Saturday (June 18) and plan to head home the next day around 12:30pm. If you need more details, let Jeff know.

June 26, 2022 @ 11am

The last Sunday of the month is our Word! Sunday. Stay tuned for more details. We will be meeting at Mount Carmel as per usual and the Zoom link will be available.

As more details unfold about each week, we’ll keep updating this page. Please note that our in-person events will follow any applicable guidelines for COVID-19. Currently, as masks are not legislated, we would welcome people to do what they are most comfortable doing (either wearing a mask or not) with love and consideration for others. If you are interested in joining via Zoom on one of the weeks where this is available, send an email to Jeff at info@peacecommunity.ca.
