February is a short month, but with a surprising number of holidays and special days: Valentine’s Day, Family Day, Ash Wednesday, and the start of Lent. And, of course, there’s Shrove Tuesday — which means: pancakes.
Here’s what’s happening in the month of February — all our events, unless otherwise indicated, take place at Mount Carmel Bible College:
- Sunday, February 5: This Sunday, Nils will be presenting on the subject of “The Church Exodus: Why Do Young Adults Leave the Church?” We’ll also have communion together.
- Sunday, February 12: This Sunday, we’ll be serving together to help with the youth conference clean-up and other ways of helping the students and staff at Mount Carmel Bible College. We’ll also be praying for Turkey and Syria together.
- Sunday, February 19: To get ready to enter the season of Lent, we’ll be celebrating Shrove Sunday together at Carmel at 11am. Also… there will be pancakes!
- Wednesday, February 22: Ash Wednesday
- Sunday, February 26: This Sunday will have a focus on prayer, ushering us into the season of Lent.
