What’s Happening in December 2023

Ah. We made it.

Here’s what’s happening in December:

  • Sunday, December 3: This Sunday we’re going to mark the start of advent with some Christmas carol singing — kids will be upstairs with us. Plan is to meet at Carmel at 11am.
  • Sunday, December 10: This Sunday at Carmel at 11am, Nils will be talking about “God Among Us” (which sounds a bit sus IMO — just kidding, that was my small attempt to make an “Among Us” joke despite only having played it twice). There will also be Sunday school for kids in Grade 6 and under.
  • Sunday, December 17: We’re going to be doing a Christmas Nativity Play this week with the kids, meeting at Mount Carmel at 11am. Any kids can join; no rehearsal necessary! Birthday party for baby Jesus to follow!
  • Sunday, December 24: No church at Peace this Sunday! We’re going to take a Sabbatical Sunday so people can celebrate with family and friends, check out other church Christmas Eve services, or just take a break midway through the Christmas season.
  • Sunday, December 31: This Sunday we’re going to be doing something called “Intentions Sunday” — perfect for New Year’s Eve!
