What’s Happening in March 2024

Spring is just around the corner, marching forwards — hey! Is that why they call it “march”? (Nope.)

What’s going on at Peace this month? Check out the details below.

  • Sunday, March 3: This Sunday at Carmel at 11am, we’re talking about Faith and Film. Jamie will be speaking on the recent (Oscar-nominated) film, The Zone of Interest, and how it relates to us today on the topic of facing the issues of our world. You don’t have to have watched the movie beforehand as Jamie will give us the context we need; however, if you are curious, the trailer for the movie can be watched here: https://youtu.be/r-vfg3KkV54?si=zpp8jq8eiwVBHeoA
  • Sunday, March 10: Dust off your sleds as we will be meeting at the park around 11am this Sunday for some good ol’ fashioned winter fun! For those who prefer to sit back and watch other people hurl their bodies down the snowy terrain, feel free to bring a camping chair to congregate around a fire and/or wear your snow boots for a walk through the ravine. We will have coffee and simple snacks available for everyone. If anyone would like to bring a snack to share, please feel free to do so. (Contact Jeff for location).
  • Sunday, March 17: This Sunday, starting at 5pm, we’ll be gathering for a potluck meal. Following that, starting at 7pm, anyone who is interested is welcome to join us to attend a presentation of the touring one-man show, My Little Plastic Jesus. Talk to Jay to find out more about purchasing tickets to the presentation.
  • Sunday, March 24: It’s a Word Sunday this week, where Ruth will guide us into reflecting on the meaning and significance of Palm Sunday.
  • Sunday, March 31: Don’t you know it’s Easter? This week, we will be meeting at Mount Carmel to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus with our brothers and sisters from Millcreek Christian Fellowship.

If you’re interested in being on the email list for more details on what’s happening from week to week, send Jeff a note.
