What’s Happening in June 2024

Things are wrapping up for the school year and that means good ol’ June chaos. Hopefully, there’s a bit of a reprieve on Sundays, though. The planned schedule for the month is below the picture.

  • Sunday, June 2: This Sunday, we are doing a “borrow Sunday,” starting at 11am at Mount Carmel. This one will involve doing what’s sometimes called a “Breaking of Bread” or “Lord’s Supper” service this week. These services typically involve a time of open sharing, song requests, or prayers and focuses on Jesus, culminating in us taking communion together. Michelle will give us a bit of context at the outset. Sunday school will be happening for kids in Grade 6 and under.
  • Sunday, June 9: This Sunday at Carmel at 11am, we’re going to be hearing from folks in our community as they talk about important mentors, book, or experiences in their faith journeys. Sunday school will be happening for kids in Grade 6 and under.
  • Sunday, June 16: This week, we’re doing a Sunday school picnic! We will be meeting at 11am at Shelby and Sherah’s house again this year to enjoy some food and fun times. Stay tuned for an email about potluck stuff.
  • Sunday, June 23: This week we’re doing a Word Sunday. Nils will be speaking with us about how “Jesus Changes Our Actions.” Sunday school will be happening for kids in Grade 6 and under.
  • Sunday, June 30: Sabbatical Sunday this week and that means no church!
